Originally from Los Angeles, Hanae is a cum laude graduate of Skidmore College where she majored in Dance and minored in both Art History/Spanish Language and Literature. After receiving a grant to teach from the Spanish Ministry of Education in Madrid, Hanae relocated to Madrid where she became captivated by the local gastronomic culture. Shortly thereafter, she enrolled in the culinary program at Escuela de Cocina Luis Irizar in Basque Country.
Hanae has apprenticed and worked in acclaimed Michelin star kitchens across San Sebastian, NYC and Los Angeles. She found her passion for restaurant management and operations and has served as the Floor Manager at Innovative Dining Group’s BOA Steakhouse, the Assistant General Manager at Dominick’s Est.1948, the Assistant General Manager at Spago Beverly Hills, and the General Manager at ink.
Currently, Hanae works in talent engagement and acquisition for the F&B industry. As a Director of Recruitment for One Haus, she assists food & beverage operators nationally and internationally in their tailored and confidential searches.
Outside of work, she is a fitness and horror film enthusiast. On the weekends, you’ll likely find her testing spicy comfort food recipes from around the world. She incredibly honored to serve on the advisory board for ARAR after a year volunteering as their Wellness Director.
